David Copus, DDS, MS

For Dr. David Copus, returning to Bay City to open his orthodontic practice was a natural choice. Having grown up in Bay City, he knows the people and the community well. Since 1998, he has been providing exceptional orthodontic care to children, teens, and adults.

Dr. Copus attended Boston College for his undergraduate studies in biology and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan. He completed his postgraduate studies and orthodontic training at Northwestern University, where he earned a certificate in orthodontics and a master's degree in oral biology.

He stays on the cutting edge of the latest advancements in orthodontics by maintaining memberships with numerous prestigious organizations such as the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Michigan Association of Orthodontists, Michigan Dental Association, and the Saginaw Valley District Dental Society where he has served as president.

Dr. Copus gives back to the community through numerous sponsorships for MANY local school and community events, including the Dow Bay Area Family YMCA's Strong Community Movement.

He and his wife, Rachelle, have three children: Connor, Madison, and Griffin. In addition to spending time with his family, Dr. Copus enjoys golf, downhill skiing, and visiting Northern Michigan.
